Here are pictures from the playground, where the community came together to build a dream. Now, thousands have already visited to play! Through the generous donations of money from individuals and area businesses, the key components of the playground were purchased and assembled to create the finished project. What seemed like an unreachable monetary goal was achieved through the incredible generosity of the Downbeach community and our surrounding neighbors. CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF CONTRIBUTORS. It took the collective efforts of a team of construction volunteers to complete the work - a talented team who fought the elements and labored to build an amazing play environment that has been recognized as a new jewel in the community. Click on the Volunteers links above to learn more about their efforts and to see pictures of these workers in action Thanks to our friends at Leathers Associates for helping in the design and planning of CSURE. They specialize in community builds and their input was invaluable. Now, it is up to the residents of Ventnor and the Downbeach community to maintain this playground and help with the love it needs for upkeep. Volunteers are still needed to keep an eye out for the well-being of the facility and the preservation of this incredible environment. Parents and guardians - PLEASE be responsible for your children and keep them safe at play. Report any vandalism you see to the police whether it is graffiti or destruction of property. Please help control the trash and take home what you have brought whenever possible.
